From the time humans first gathered around the campfire, stories have been told of the netherworld that exists in the shadowy corners of the earth.  They are the places we instinctively know we shouldn't go—and yet we go there.  Vortexes of evil, haunted by the unhuman, waiting for hapless souls to wander into their domain:  the deep uncharted woods from which no one returns, ocean regions into which all disappears, secret chambers in ancient castles where fettered demons wait to be set free, dwellings and ghost towns long shunned and abandoned because of the horrors that went on there—the list is endless.  And despite the fact that over thousands of years there have been millions of accounts from every corner of the globe—a veritable Mount Everest of documented evidence to explain these paranormal phenomena—those accounts are generally dismissed as if all the testimony came from the dimwitted villagers of the Universal movies we love, rather than from rational, intelligent eyewitnesses.  The reports are dismissed as myth or legend, or, in the hoariest of horror cliches, as "superstitious nonsense" or "just your imagination."

But what if all these things are real? In Tales from the Shadowland, they are.

Tales from the Shadowland will be a series of unabashed horror novels for adults.  Some books will feature recurring characters, some will be standalones. Like any writer, I hope my stories will have a universal (pun intended) appeal, but I envision my primary audience as people my age who grew up loving monster movies (see "About Me" for particulars).  Who are people my age?  People old enough to remember when Stevie Wonder was Little Stevie Wonder.  Of course all are welcome to come along for the ride.  The more the scarier.

All right.  Despite our better judgment, it is time to venture into the places where Evil dwells.  And watches.  And waits.

The Shadowland...
